In the words of our marvellous school principal Ms. Jaana, “every child has the right to have high-quality education, every child is able to learn and it is our task to give every student the opportunity to seek and apply his or her full potential”. 

At Beaconhouse Private School, we strived to ensure that our students returned relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new academic year. However, taking our exceptional learning community and welcoming school ethos into consideration, we wanted to maintain and enhance the positivity fostered over the glistening summer break. As such, we aimed to welcome each and every student back in style by surprising them with a few familiar faces. 

It is no secret that our students are active members of the learning community. They learn to set goals and solve problems both independently and together with others. Linguistic and physical elements and the use of different senses are essential for thinking and learning. While acquiring new knowledge and skills, students learn to reflect on their learning and emotions. The joy of learning and creative activities promote learning and inspire students to develop their competences.

With the aforementioned views in mind, we planned to further motivate and inspire our students by effectively planning and executing a Welcome Back To School Week Celebration!

Each day was enticingly filled with numerous amounts of ecstatic excitement and endless enjoyment for our entire school community. This included our talented staff, devoted parents and most importantly our phenomenal little students. Once again, this relates back to our vision of collaborative learning, where each individual feels valued and appreciated while contributing to the holistic development of each child. We are all life-long learners. 

On Day 1, Ms. Jaana graciously greeted each and every student with a remarkable welcome gift. She was not alone, as the adorable Hello Kitty was alongside her, providing students with a huge surprise as soon as they walked in. 

On Day 2, the adventure continued with the assistance of Disney’s very own Minnie Mouse and the brilliant Balloon Bender, who allowed each and every student to live out their wildest fantasies by simply attending school. Needless to say, this extravaganza continued on Day 3 when we welcomed back our dazzling bus students.

There were smiles all around and the energy was tremendous. Rolling drums and the melody from the sound of musical songs echoed throughout the entire school campus. As a team, our staff effectively planned and ensured that every piece of the puzzle perfectly aligned to the next. From the breath-taking displays and décor to the buzz of student’s impending arrival. Everything was perfectly tailored to turn dreams into a reality.
