In the Foundation Stage, all children are provided with teaching and learning experiences that address the whole child: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication (including language and literacy); Problem solving, Reasoning and Numeracy; Knowledge and Understanding of the World; Physical Development; and Creative Development. Arabic will be introduced for all students in FS1 and continued in FS2, before it becomes a compulsory subject in primary and secondary school.
The Early Years team at Beaconhouse Private School Al Ain provides an innovative and stimulating inquiry-based learning environment to help your child to flourish. We believe that every child is a unique individual who brings a wealth of ideas, opportunities and deep curiosity to our school about the world.
BPS follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and have a phonics and mathematics program. Formal teaching of reading and writing does not take place until Year 1 but, if your child is showing signs of readiness, they will have every opportunity to learn these skills. Our Early Years students participate in school wide activities through shared projects with the older children, school-wide initiatives and whole school assemblies. Our indoor playground area of the Early Years Centre is purpose built to stimulate the sensory learning needs of our students.
When you send your child to Beaconhouse Private School Al Ain, you will be an active participant in your child’s educational journey. Teachers track each child’s development to learn about children’s interests and how best to provide a safe, yet challenging environment for them to thrive. The journey we take together provides your child with a solid foundation from which they can confidently enter primary school as strong, capable and resilient students.
